Composite rolling process

1. The basic process of producing composite panels

The basic process for producing composite panels can be divided into three stages: surface pre-treatment, cold-rolling or hot-rolling composite-first-heat treatment. This process is also used in advanced countries. Surface pretreatment is usually carried out by first etching and brushing with a wire brush to remove surface oxide film, oil stains and dirt to obtain a clean surface. Heat treatment or diffusion annealing is to enhance the diffusion of the bonding surface atoms, make the composite nodes grow, increase the actual composite area, and improve the bonding strength to meet the performance requirements for further processing or use.

Cold rolling compounding should pay special attention to the degree of cleanliness of the combined direction, and use large processing rate rolling as much as possible. The first pass is more important when compounding. In order to achieve a good bonding state, etc., diffusion annealing is often performed. There are two methods for continuously producing bimetal composite plates by the belt method: one is polishing and composite rolling are completed on two production lines; the other is a process of brushing the surface side and continuous continuous rolling at the entrance of the roll. The latter has a high degree of automation, stable production, easy control of product quality and high productivity.


Hot rolling composite, because the component metal is heated to a high temperature, it is easy to combine, but hot rolling must pay attention to the interface cleanliness and the formation of intermetallic compounds. For this reason, it is often necessary to sandwich a sandwich material which is difficult to form an intermetallic compound between metals to be bonded, or to lower the hot rolling temperature. The combined structure of hot rolling is important. In order to prevent heating and oxidation, a closed structure drawing can be prepared by means of sandwich edge welding. Practice has shown that hot-rolled composite can achieve high temperature, multi-pass small reduction rate, and gradually accumulate energy to achieve a firm bond.
