Laser cutting for paper cutting knife material cutting

When we purchase the material, the dimension is not the size we need, so we will us laser cutting to cut the material for paper cutting knives.

Laser cutting equipment is quite expensive. With the continuous development of storage tank industry, more and more industries and enterprises have applied storage tank, and more and more enterprises have entered the storage tank industry. However, it is feasible to use this equipment in mass production because it reduces the cost of subsequent processing.

Because there is no tool processing cost, the laser cutting equipment is also suitable for the production of small batch of parts of various sizes that cannot be processed before. Laser cutting equipment usually adopts computerized digital control technology (CNC) device. With this device, cutting data can be received from CAD workstations using telephone lines.


The principle

Laser cutting is the use of the focus of the high power density laser beam artifacts, cause the irradiation materials rapidly melting, evaporation and ablation or reach the ignition point, at the same time with the aid of high-speed airflow and beam coaxial blow molten material, so as to realize the workpiece cut open. Laser cutting is one of the hot cutting methods.

The characteristics

Compared with other thermal cutting methods, laser cutting is characterized by fast cutting speed and high quality. Specific summary is as follows several aspects.

1. Laser cutting quality is good

Because laser spot is small, energy density is high, cutting speed is fast, so laser cutting can obtain better cutting quality.

2. The laser cutting efficiency is high. Due to the laser transmission characteristics, the laser cutting machine is usually equipped with multiple nc workstations, and the whole cutting process can be fully nc. When operating, it only needs to change the nc program, so it can be used for cutting different shape parts.

3. Quicker cut

2mm thick low carbon steel plate is cut by laser with power of 1200W, and the cutting speed can reach 600cm/min. Cut 5mm thick polypropylene resin plate, cutting speed up to 1200cm/min. The material does not need to be clamped and fixed in laser cutting, which can not only save the fixture, but also save the auxiliary time of loading and unloading.

4.Non contact cutting

The cutting torch has no contact with the workpiece during laser cutting, and there is no tool wear. It is not necessary to change the "tool" for processing different parts of different shapes, but only to change the output parameters of the laser. The laser cutting process has low noise, low vibration and no pollution.

5.There are many kinds of materials used for cutting materials

Compared with oxy-acetylene cutting and plasma cutting, there are many kinds of laser cutting materials, including metal, non-metal, metal and non-metal matrix composite materials, leather, wood and fiber. However, for different materials, due to their own thermal and physical properties and different absorption rate of laser, different laser cutting adaptability is shown. The laser cutting performance of various materials is shown in table 2.

6.Shortcoming: laser cutting due to restricted by laser power and equipment volume, laser cutting only cutting, small thickness of plate and pipe material, and with the increase of the thickness of the workpiece, the cutting speed decreases significantly.

Laser cutting equipment costs high one-time investment.
