The main geometry and selection of the lathe tool

Secondly, the size of the front angle should be taken into account according to the processing properties. The small value of the front corner should be taken in rough machining, and the large value should be taken before the finish machining.

The principle of corner selection: first consider the processing properties. In the finishing process, the rear corner takes a large value, while the rough machining takes a small value at the back corner. Secondly, considering the hardness of the processing material, the hardness of the processing material is high, and the small value of the main rear corner is adopted to enhance the firmness of the cutter head; on the contrary, the rear corner should take a small value.
