2.High speed steel tool grinding, in addition to the above brown corundum grinding wheel, white corundum grinding wheel (GB) or chrome corundum grinding wheel (GG) can also be selected.
White corundum is smelting industrial aluminum powder as the main raw material in the electric furnace, containing alumina more than 98.5%, white. White corundum is harder than brown corundum, more brittle, sharp edges, less grinding heat, high grinding wheel durability, grinding high-speed steel tool effect is better, the disadvantage is more expensive.
White corundum is good, processing finish is high, chrome jade is generally rose red or purple.
3.Carbide tool grinding, to choose green silicon carbide (TL) or artificial diamond (JR) grinding wheel.
Green silicon carbide is made of silica and petroleum coke as raw materials, containing more than 99% silicon carbide, this abrasive hardness is higher than corundum, brittle and sharp, grinding heat is less, is a cheaper grinding carbide abrasive.
Artificial diamond is made of graphite under the action of catalyst and ultra-high pressure, ultra-high temperature, its main component is carbon (C), colorless transparent, light yellow, yellow green, black and other colors, artificial diamond abrasive hardness is extremely high, is the best abrasive for grinding carbide tools, compared with green silicon carbide, grinding productivity is 5 times higher, high finish 1-3 levels, Tool durability 1-3 times higher. Diamond grinding wheel is expensive, poor toughness, especially strong affinity for iron group elements, poor thermal stability, in the air medium will be graphitized at 700-800 ° C, so it can not be used to grind steel tools.
