How to choose a precision tool in sheet metal cutting

When customers choose tools, in addition to the price and the processing accuracy of the blade, they should also examine the supplier's ability in tool manufacturing in the following aspects. Only in this way can we truly guarantee the reliability of blade accuracy and working life promised by the supplier.

(1) The selection of materials. Because the materials processed by the customer are very wide, there are copper, aluminum, copper aluminum alloy, carbon steel, stainless steel, silicon steel sheet, etc., and soft and hard points, so they have different requirements for the sharpness of the blade, wear resistance, impact resistance or toughness, so they should also choose the grade and processing technology of the tool according to different materials to determine the performance needs of the tool.

(2) Processing equipment. Is there a precision external grinding machine, internal grinding machine, ultra-precision rotary table surface grinding machine, large diameter double end grinding machine, etc. These are the most critical equipment for machining the final product of precision blades.

(3) Heat treatment. The method of vacuum heat treatment must be adopted for precision blades. Because vacuum heat treatment can avoid the generation of decarbonized layer, ensure the permanent sharpness of the blade. In addition, the vacuum heat treatment can make the blade quickly and evenly quenched, ensure the uniform hardness of the blade, and reduce the internal stress of the blade, to avoid the gradual deformation of the blade during use and after regrinding.

(4) Detection. Whether there is a constant greenhouse, and whether there is a precise thickness, roundness, eccentricity, parallelism, flatness, hardness and other aspects of the measuring instrument, whether there is a complete test record.

(5) Management. Management is also a very important factor, to see whether the site is clean, whether the logistics is smooth, logical stacking and there is no station equipment.

Because it is precision, and even ultra-precision parts processing, the above all reflect the concept, attitude and means of tool manufacturers and their responsible person for processing these tools.
