The tire pattern is revealed. What are the advantages and disadvantages of various patterns?

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. The journey of the car begins with the tires. The tires directly carry the “intermediary” between the car and the road surface. The tires have different patterns and play different roles. After discussing the tire specifications, Let's take a look at the literacy of the tread pattern.

First, the tire pattern has a large effect

The main function of the tread pattern is to increase the friction between the tread and the road surface to prevent the wheels from slipping. The tread pattern is used to improve the tread grounding elasticity. Under the action of the tangential force between the tread and the road surface (such as driving force, braking force and lateral force), the pattern can produce large tangential elastic deformation, thereby enhancing the friction effect.

Second, the classification of tire patterns

1, ordinary pattern:

Ordinary patterns are divided into horizontal, vertical, vertical and horizontal patterns. The horizontal pattern is characterized in that the tread is transversely continuous and longitudinally broken, so that the tread has a large lateral stiffness and a small longitudinal rigidity, and is suitable for medium-sized or heavy-duty trucks on a general hard road surface with relatively large traction; the common feature of the longitudinal pattern is the tread longitudinal direction. Continuous, lateral disconnection, so the tread longitudinal stiffness is large, the lateral stiffness is small, suitable for use on relatively clean and hard roads, cars, light and mini-trucks; vertical and horizontal patterns have a zigzag pattern in the middle of the tread, Horizontal patterns on both sides of the shoulder are used for a wide range of applications, both for different hard surfaces and for cars and vans.

2, cross-country pattern:

The characteristics of the cross-country pattern are that the pattern groove is wide and deep, and the grounding area of the pattern is small (about 40%~60%), and the grip is large. Root test, on the muddy road, the traction of the same model vehicle using the cross-country pattern wheel can reach 1.5 times of the ordinary pattern. Because the contact pressure of the block is large, the rolling resistance is large. Driving on a good hard road for a long time will increase the wear of the tire, increase the fuel consumption, and the vibration of the car is also very strong, so it is suitable for rough roads and soft dirt roads. Used in no-road areas.

3, mixed pattern:

The mixed pattern is a transitional pattern between the common pattern and the cross-country pattern. It is characterized in that the middle of the tread has narrow groove grooves with different directions or mainly in the longitudinal direction, and on both sides, wide grooves with different directions or transverse directions are used. In this way, the mixed pattern has good comprehensive performance and strong adaptability, and is suitable for both good hard road surface, gravel road surface, snow mud road surface and soft road surface, and the adhesion performance is superior to the common pattern, but the wear resistance is less. Currently, it is suitable for some trucks and four-wheel drive passenger cars.

In addition, there are three patterns: single-guide pattern, block pattern, and asymmetrical pattern, which are generally suitable for some models with special needs.

Third, the depth of the tire pattern

If the pattern is too deep, the grounding elastic deformation of the block is large, and the rolling resistance formed is large, but it is not conducive to the heat dissipation of the tire, and the root of the pattern is easily torn and fall off due to severe punishment. The pattern is too shallow, affecting its water storage and drainage capacity, and it is easy to produce “water skiing phenomenon”. In order to ensure the effectiveness of the pattern, countries around the world have established clear regulations on the tread wear limit. The tire wear limit warning marks "△" and "TWI" are marked in the aliquot of the tire shoulder along the circumference. When the block convex wear distance is about 1.6mm (1/16 inch) from the bottom of the pattern groove, the pattern at the mark has been smoothed, so that a narrow horizontal strip of tread is exposed, thereby warning the driver that this The tires should be changed.

During the tyre/tire production, you may need vin pent blade to clean the tyre burrs.

Even the tyre couldn't be used any more, you may need shredder blade to shred the tyre into pieces for rubber recycling.
