What is the effect of the wire cutting machine knife surface?

The cutting process subjects the processing surface to the process of ionization, heat fusion and cooling, so the corresponding tissue changes occur on the surface. From the top to the bottom are the plating layer, the hot melt layer, the metamorphic layer and the heat affected layer.


Plating layer: mainly from carbon black of thermal decomposition of the coolant and metal particles suspended in the liquid, the thickness of which is attached to the surface is about 0.05~1.5μ, which is determined by the plating principle, and the plating layer is thin at the entrance of the slit yarn. The exit is thick.


Hot-melt layer: It is the part that remains after being melted and not splashed into the cooling liquid. It is not the physical structure of the original structure, and its hardness strength is far apart. It is the multi-piece stacking that welds the slit together. The thickness is about 0.1~5μ.


Metamorphic layer: It is heated by the hot melt process but not to the extent of condensation. However, after the heating and condensation process is not the metallographic structure of the original structure, the original quenching hardness may become soft, and the original quenching will not be possible. Therefore, with hardness and high hardness, cracks may occur. The thickness of the metamorphic layer is about 0.1 to 5 μ.


Heat-affected layer: The transition of the metamorphic layer to the substrate has a gradual process, which is the heat-affected layer. It did not change drastically but was thicker, about 5~20μ,


It should be said that the range in which the wire-cut surface changes is small, and the total is about 2 to 25 μ. However, some important occasions cannot be ignored. At least the cause and consequences should be known for follow-up measures.
