Analysis of the causes of severe wear of the cutter blade
Currently, paper cutters are widely used in the processing industry. As one of the most important parts of the paper cutter, the sharpness level and application period of the cutter blade, on a large level, influence the consumption efficiency of the paper cutter. Many users report that the life of the cutter blade is too short and the wear is serious. What factors can cause this situation?
1. The quality of the cutter blade. The better the quality of the blade, the longer its service life and the better the cutting effect.
2. The material of the shear material. The wear resistance of the shear material affects the severity of the cutter blade becoming dull. When cutting paper, the blade wear rate has a lot to do with the texture of the paper. The harder and thicker the texture, the faster the blade becomes dull.
3. The cutting angle of the cutter blade. On a single-sided paper cutter, the tool with a single sharp edge is usually angled between 19° and 23°. However, the sharp edge of this profile allows the beveled face of the tool to receive pressure from the partially removed stack of paper during the cutting process. In this respect, the double-edged insert has great advantages, and the sharpening edge helps to reduce the load on the machine and improve the precision of the cutting. Therefore, it is recommended that the angle of the blade should be as small as possible under the premise of the shear resistance of the cutting material, which can reduce the degree of wear of the cutter blade.
