Basic knowledge of machining

1 Turning: The workpiece is rotated, and the turning of the turning tool in a plane for linear or curved movement is called turning.

2 Milling: The process in which the workpiece is fixed, the milling cutter rotates and the feed motion is performed, called milling.

A wide variety of milling processes are available for end milling, wide face milling and face milling. Since the knife has multiple teeth and each tooth produces milling chips, it is possible to cut the metal at high speed. In most applications, the workpiece is fed into a rotating milling cutter.

3 Boring: The workpiece is fixed on the fixture, or it is linear, and the process of making the rotary motion for machining is called boring.
