1, hardness

In general, the better the material, the higher the hardness achieved by quenching. If the ordinary material is quenched to a very high hardness, then the toughness of the pelletizer knife is destroyed, causing the crack of the blade. Therefore, the quenching hardness of the pelletizer knife must be determined by the material. The hardness of the pelletizer knife should be much larger than the hardness of the slitting material, generally the heat treatment quenching interval is HRC75°.

2, wear resistance

The wear resistance of the pelletizer knife is proportional to the hardness. The better the material used for the pelletizer knife, the higher the hardness, and the better the wear resistance.

3. Heat resistance

Heat resistance means that the steel still maintains the hardness, toughness, strength and wear resistance in the high-temperature environment generated by high speed. The steel red hardness is usually used to measure the quality of the pelletizer knife. The material with higher red hardness can withstand. The cutting speed is higher.

4. Stability

Stability refers to the degree to which the crystal of the material of the pelletizer knife is changed during the heat treatment of the pelletizer knife. At present, the heat treatment methods of the pelletizer knife are vacuum quenching, salt bath quenching, electric furnace quenching, etc. Different quenching methods have an important influence on the stability of the pelletizer knife material.
