This formula is called the tool life equation, n is the cutting speed on the tool life degree of the index value, when n is greater than 1, in the tool life range, high-speed cutting can make the cutting length increase, that is to say, in the same cutting dosage, the faster the cutting speed the smaller the wear. When n is between 0 and 1, in the range of tool life, high-speed cutting can shorten the cutting length, the greater the C value, the easier the cutting process, and the better the material is cut. During drilling, n is 0.69-3.1 and C is 1.6x102-3.6x109. This tool life equation is based on the same amount of wear, and assumes that the machining accuracy has no effect on the tool life, only for the tool material and the processing nature itself to obtain, that is, if the same amount of wear is achieved, regardless of the processing accuracy, it is assumed that the tool has reached the service life.
